Computer History: 128K Mac (1984) bought at Macys in Stanford Shopping Center, Mac IIcx (1989) bought at the Apple dealership in Palo Alto, Mac Powerbook 170 (1992) bought from some dude in the Tower Records parking lot in Mountain View found via Usenet (Mac Powerbook 5300c (1996) bought at the BYU Bookstore, a Dell Dimension XPS R450 (1998) bought on the Dell website, a homemade piece of junk I assembled from parts and held together with rubberbands (2001), an IBM Thinkpad T40 (2003) bought from UPenn’s bookstore, and the iMac Core Duo 20″ (2006) bought from some guy off Craigslist.
